9) Sweden
This Nordic country has many striking qualities, from the Stockholm Archipelago, to the quaint Baltic Sea region canals, to its various unique attractions. Sweden’s got more than enough to keep you entertained. If you’re a fan of music, check out the ABBA Museum and “audition” to be the band’s fifth member. Take in some history at Drottningholm Palace, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site or one of Sweden’s numerous churches like Uppsala Cathedral or Lund Cathedral. For something completely different, check into the Icehotel which is rebuilt every year in the village of Jukkasjarvi, complete with an ice bar and ice church. Many Americans love to visit Sweden, but unfortunately Sweden does not hold America in the same regard. The majority of Swedes aren’t in love with our political system or our current and previous leaders’ take on foreign policy.
