It’s no secret that many Americans love to jaunt across the southern border to Mexico. There are many things Mexico offers that the U.S. White-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and rows of affordable, all-inclusive, resorts tempt beach-bums and spring-breakers. Meanwhile, the year-round tropical climate and cheap prices create mass appeal. There’s also the delicious and authentic local food and loads of cultural and historical sites. Mexico City will knock the socks off anyone interested in UNESCO sites and ancient Aztec history. Promises to build a wall separating the U.S. and Mexico and tough talk against current immigration policies are just a few of the reasons the majority of Mexicans disapprove of the U.S. Let’s not forget Mexico lost 50% of its territory to the U.S. in the war between 1846-1848. The U.S. successfully took from Mexico what is now known as California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and more.
