8) Go See A Game or Other Event
With a full week at your disposal, it should be easy to schedule time to see a sporting event or other entertainment event you’ve been waiting to see. Some games, like baseball and soccer, could go on for a few hours, which is a great way to make that your activity for the whole day and/or evening.
There’s nothing stopping you from following one of your local teams to an away game. It’s also a nice way to explore one of your neighboring towns. Go the full hog and plan to tailgate before the game.
If sports events aren’t your thing — check out the theatre, dance or open-air cinema events in your area. If the popular shows are too expensive, watch a local amateur or community group – you may be pleasantly surprised.
