7) Outdoor Activities
Staycations are a great time to enjoy outdoor activities. Many people live in areas of outstanding natural beauty but very rarely get to enjoy it during their Monday through Friday routines. To execute the perfect staycation, you’ll need to schedule time in which to be active outdoors.
Dust off your hiking boots, pack a picnic lunch, and take a long hike — or pump up the tires on your bicycles and go on a bike ride. You can pack up the car — set off into the countryside, mountains or plains, depending on where you live — and embrace whatever weather conditions might come your way.
Your staycation is also a great time to get back into a sport or other healthy activity you’ve been neglecting. Book time on the tennis court, or schedule a morning at the golf course, for an invigorating blast of fresh air. You can even be adventurous and try a new sport, like squash or ice hockey.
