4) Travel Documents
A passport is always required for international travel, and often, a visa. Gathering visa information for your destination country is imperative – check ahead of time to find out if you can get a visa on arrival or if it needs to be arranged ahead of time. Many countries also have an e-visa website. Apply, pay online, and print the receipt to show at Customs. Screen-shot your travel itinerary or use an app that compiles all necessary information, i.e. ticket/flight number, confirmation number, departure time, hotel reservation, etc. You’ll need this information multiple times throughout your travels. If you purchased travel insurance (and that’s a smart move), make sure you have the documents with you that include the policy number, contact information, and how to file a claim. Tip: Print your confirmations and itineraries out as well, just in case your device runs out of battery!
