2) Toiletries

It may seem like a good idea to scrap some toiletry essentials to free up more space in your bag. These items are bulky and take up their fair share of space. However, you’ll be happy you have them once you reach your destination. Some people forgo toiletries with the excuse that they’ll buy what they need upon arrival. This is often not as easy as it sounds. You don’t know the terrain, the stores, the brands, or the location of the local shops. Hunting them down will eat up precious holiday time that could be better spent enjoying yourself. The key is being selective and following TSA rules on gels and liquids if you choose to carry-on your toiletries. Remember: store liquids/gels in a 3.4-ounce bottle or less. All bottles must be stored together in a 1-quart sized plastic zipper bag for easy inspection.
