6) Niagara Falls, Canada
What Niagara Falls lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere. At just 167 foot in height, Niagara Falls are diminutive compared to some of the other massive waterfalls on this list but thanks to its location, bordering Canada and the USA, and its distinctive three-fall appearance (Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil) Niagara is one of the world’s best known waterfalls. Of the three, Horseshoe Falls boasts the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world and drains the American Lake Erie into the Canadian Lake Ontario by way of the Niagara River. The view is said to be better from the Canadian side of the falls and from both sides you can organize a boat tour that will take you ‘behind the falls.’
