5) Santa Barbara, California
Another city in California that offers nearly perfect weather is Santa Barbara, which is north of Los Angeles. This city’s temperature only varies by about 10 degrees between summer’s high 70’s and the winters low. This makes it ideal for visiting the three vast beaches: Leadbetter, West and East. Much of the history of the area can be seen by visiting the Santa Barbara Mission. This church dates back to 1786, and although services are still held here, it also has an extensive museum with many artifacts and pictures from the past. It also has a beautiful garden and offers views of both the city and ocean. Located in the heart of downtown, another must-see place is the El Presidio de Santa Barbara. It’s the last Spanish built military site in America, built in 1782 and covering six acres.
