The city that is most likely at the top of the list of having the best year round weather in the continental U.S. is San Diego. The thermometer almost never quite reaches 80 in the summer, and is rarely ever below 50 in the winter. Although the state sees moderate temperatures as a whole, this city is best. Most days, about 300 of them, are sunny. San Diego offers tourists many popular and beautiful beaches, including Mission and Coronado. Both beaches also offer excellent scenery, and some of the most magnificent sunsets anywhere. The Gaslamp District is an historic area of 16 blocks that has many buildings with Victorian style and charm. Many restaurants and shops line the streets that several U.S. Presidents came to see. Among many other things to see, tourists will want to take in the USS Midway Museum. This aircraft carrier served longer than any other carrier in the U.S.
