2) Colonial Williamsburg
Experience what it was like to live in the 18th century. Colonial Williamsburg is a living-history site where visitors are immersed into the culture and time of the 18th century. Visitors are offered costumes, which are the clothing worn by those who lived and worked on the farms of the 1700’s. At the Great Hopes Plantation, kids will be able to find out more about the chores that kids of that time period were expected to do.
They will be asked to fetch water, knead dough for baking bread, hoe soil and more labor-intensive work that contributed to the household. The entire Colonial Williamsburg is made to resemble an 18th century community. A visit to Colonial Williamsburg offers visitors the opportunity to see and experience life, as it actually existed during the 18th century.
