8) Wisconsin Dells
Walt Disney World isn’t the only place that has a whole lot to offer in one place, so does the Wisconsin Dells. This once bustling lumber area soon turned into a place of peace and serenity for visitors who wished to escape the city. It is a great, budget friendly resort city to visit with children. It is the birthplace of the first indoor waterpark and is called the Waterpark Capital of the World.
The waterpark is open year-round to accommodate visitors. It is also home to the country’s largest outdoor waterpark, Noah’s Ark, with its 51 slides and a large body board surf pool. In addition to all of the many water activities that take place at the Wisconsin Dells, guests can also go horseback riding, zip lining, snow skiing and hope aboard train rides throughout the resort. There are also amusement parks, go-carts, a circus and other live shows throughout the year.
