5) Cambridge
Resting at the confluence of the Grand and Speed rivers is the idyllic city of Cambridge. The city has a small population of around 100,000, but the small size shouldn’t scare you if you are worried about employment. The city is home to quite a few factories that employ much of its population. And before you start thinking that they must be small factories with nothing but blue-collar jobs, here are a few names: Toyota, Rimowa, Gerdau, ATS Automation Tooling System, Loblaw, Frito-Lay, Babcock and Wilcox, Rockwell Automation, and Com Dev International. Imagine the number of jobs these giants would be offering. But Cambridge is not just about low unemployment; the city has other attractions too, such as a number of schools for young families. The city also attracts college students from across the globe, thanks to the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, which is located here.
