6) Burlington

Burlington is a city lying on the Western end of Lake Ontario. It’s a small city in the Halton Region with a population of 125,000 residents. The best thing about the city: it’s located near the Golden Horseshoe, a highly industrialized region with a population of more than 8 million people, and its proximity to the Golden Horseshoe makes it important. So many of the Burlington residents are employed in the Golden Horseshoe and can commute by car to their jobs. Actually, Burlington provides its residents with the great benefit of the huge number of jobs the Golden Horseshoe has to offer, without paying the high price of living in the region. In contrast to the Golden Horseshoe, Burlington is small, calm and peaceful. The crime rate is low, and almost half a dozen schools keep the kids there as smart as their pals living in the Golden Horseshoe.
