4) Tomales
This area of California offers a quaint countryside with vineyards, farms and even a bay. Visit some of the smaller wine farms and taste what they have to offer, along with some of the freshest locally grown foods paired with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Tomales is also where you can find several creameries where you can sample the chesses made on family farms. Since oyster farming is a prominent industry in the bay, you wouldn’t want to leave without a trip to Hog Island Oyster Co. or Tomales Bay Oyster Co. to sample freshly harvested oysters from the nearby waters. Take the time to explore the area, or bring a wetsuit and go kayaking, sailing or motor boating.
