4) Praslin, The Seychelles
North of Madagascar and even further east in the Indian Ocean lies the secluded paradise of The Seychelles. This 115-island nation is the ultimate romantic escape for folks who really want to get off the grid. Many of these islands have been declared nature reserves. However, even the ones that are inhabited feel just as remote. Praslin is one of the most frequently visited islands by tourists. Perhaps this is due to the famous Anse Lazio Beach and its silky white-sand, tranquil aqua-marine water, and striking red granite rocks dotting the shore. It’s no wonder this beach was voted one of the best in the world by TripAdvisor users! Also, within Praslin is the World Heritage Site of Vallee de Maiç. This National Park houses the rare Coco de Mer palm tree as well as many indigenous birds, like the endangered black parrot.
