11) Blacksburg
Blacksburg is home to Virginia Tech University and the ever popular Lane Football Stadium which together service almost 15,000 employees. However, Blacksburg is more than just a college town. Blacksburg is also one of the top places in Virginia to choose to settle down for retirement. Yet, it still retains a median age of 22 for its almost 40,000 people. The warmer weather compared to some Northern states may help, however, the culture and arts attractions combined with the natural setting could be some of the reasons more seasoned individuals choose Blacksburg as home.
