9 Worst Mistakes Causing You to Overpay On Travel

3) High Season Travel

High season is called high season for a reason. It’s considered the best time to travel with the most desirable weather. Therefore, it comes at a price – a high price. Booking flights, accommodations, tours – anything really – at this time will inflate your tab. Instead, book your holiday off season. Resort towns and popular destinations are known for slashing their prices in low season, in hopes of promoting their establishments. We’re not suggesting you attempt a beach holiday in the middle of monsoon season  because it’s cheaper. Just be aware of when the high and low seasons are scheduled and book your vacation on the cusp on these seasons. Most places have specific dates when they reduce or jack up their prices. Book just before the high season begins, or immediately after it ends. This guarantees that all facilities are up and running as well as decent weather.
