2) Join a Travel Program
Travel programs, such as frequent flyer programs operate like credit card points. The more you fly, the more reward points you accrue. Distance is the key, so longer, international flights get rewarded with more points than short, domestic flights. Most airlines give you the option to join any time you book online. After accumulating a certain number of points, you redeem your points, by, for example, upgrading your air ticket from economy to business class. Hotels also offer loyalty programs, but they vary a lot in what they offer. Because of this, it’s important you make sure you know what is included in the hotel’s package, especially as everyone’s travel wants and needs are different. So, you may want to be able to redeem your points for a free night’s stay, while someone else might prefer access to features like free spa and concierge services.
