8. Turn Off Technology
One of the best ways to make sure you get a full night’s sleep is to limit your use of technology on vacation. The longer you stare at an electronic screen, like the television, your laptop, or your cellphone, the less melatonin your body produces. In turn, you will have a tougher time getting to sleep and your ability to control your weight will be affected. Use your vacation time to connect with everything around you rather than your technology. Technology can leave you feeling stressed during a time you should be enjoying. When you’re stressed, your body produces more cortisol, which leads to weight gain. Technology can also distract you from having fun workouts or watching your portions.
