2) Snoqualmie Train Tunnel
This old train tunnel running through Snoqualmie Pass has been converted into a hiking trail, and it’s definitely an experience you don’t want to miss. The tunnel is nearly two miles of solid darkness, and takes you right through to the other side, where there are some fantastic sights to see. The main attraction of this trail is the tunnel itself – going through on foot or bike is a unique experience, but make sure you’ve brought a headlamp that works! There is no lighting inside the tunnel, except for the end of tunnel, which keeps you walking in the right direction. Even in the middle of summer, this tunnel stays cool, so it can be a relaxing or freezing experience depending on how prepared you are. There’s plenty of room inside the tunnel, so why not give it a shot?
