9) Bristol Mountain Resort
Another ski resort located in the Finger Lakes Region, Bristol Mountain Resort is located in Canandaigua, the Western region of Upstate New York. The nearest major city to Bristol Mountain Resort is Rochester, around 30 miles away. The resort consists of 138 skiable acres with 34 trails and an impressive Bristol Mountain vertical rise of 1200 foot, the largest anywhere between the Adirondacks and the Rocky Mountains. The slopes at Bristol Mountain Resort are diverse with a number of easy, kid-friendly green circle trails as well as a few double black diamonds. In 2014, Bristol Mountain resort added to their already impressive facilities with the Bristol Mountain Arial Adventure Park, a mountain-top rope climbing course. Cross Country skiing is also available at the resort’s summit.
