3) Windham Mountain Resort
Another resort located in New York’s Catskills, Windham Mountain has a total of 53 trails and 12 lifts and is suitable for both beginner and expert skiers. Windham Mountain resort offers five terrain parks and reaches across 285 acres of snow-covered land. The highest peak at Windham has a vertical rise of 1,600 feet from its base. Thrill-seekers love Windham’s ‘big air bag’, an enormous inflatable cushion that allows the skiing public to fly through the air, practising their own take on professional ski stunts. Snow tubing, snow mobiles, ice skating, night skiing and a zip-line also do their part in keeping everyone entertained. Windham Mountain Resort was recently voted the best New York Ski Resort by Time Out online.
