Gore Mountain is New York State’s largest ski resort and stretches over four mountains including Bear Mountain, Gore, Little Gore and Burnt Ridge Mountain. Located in Adirondack Mountains, North Creek, Gore Mountain is a popular ski resort with expert skiers; only about ten percent of the terrain is suitable for beginner skiers. A four-hour drive from New York City, Gore Mountain is the closest large mountain to the Capital District metro area. With 119 trails over 428 acres serviced by 15 lifts, Gore Mountain also features an impressive snow train. Cross-country skiing is popular at Gore Mountain with 12 beautiful Nordic trails and a wide variety of alpine terrain. As Gore Mountain is perfect for a weekend getaway expect it to be particularly busy on Saturdays.
