8) Mexican Riviera
Here’s a destination cruise for those seniors who want to soak up some sun, do some high end shopping, and enjoy the great atmosphere of local restaurants. The Mexican Riviera spans ports along the Baha Peninsula all the way to Huatulco in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Familiar destinations are Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco; but the Pacific Ocean runs along the entire east coast of Mexico, so there are many smaller ports worthy of attention. Those seniors interested in fishing can get an experience of deep sea game; while others may be more content to watch dolphins frolic in the ocean. During winter months, there are excursions to observe Hump Back whales as they migrate through the area. Most cruises will ask you to embark at Los Angeles or San Diego.
