3) Water Sports Injuries
If you are thinking of a beach vacation, you may be excited to try new water sports. Especially if you live somewhere inland, vacation may be your only opportunities to do so. There are many different water sports you can try, including jet-skiing and wakeboarding. If you are not used to this type of activity, you may fall and end up with a sprain, bruise, or laceration. If you are within safe range of a lifeguard, you can receive quick help for these. However, another health issue you may not be as aware of is dehydration. If you are on the water all day in the sun, you may not realize when you begin to get dehydrated. Therefore, you should make sure to take breaks to drink water. Also, be sure to stop the activity if you don’t feel well.
