Labeled a hippie state with a population that prefers flannel shirts and farming, Vermont may not be the first destination choice for a holiday. Whether or not these stereotypes are true (they may be) is beside the point. Vermont is a super cool, laid-back place that’s got a strong local culture. Hard cider and craft beer is a big deal around here. Vermont has the oldest and biggest cider makers in the U.S.! It’s boasts nationally accredited craft brew scene with top breweries like Hill Farmstead and The Alchemist.
