Founded in 1565 by Spanish explorers, it’s the oldest continuously occupied city in the United States. St. Augustine has a long and rich haunted history. The television series Ghost Hunters once filmed a show at the St. Augustine Lighthouse, highlighting much of the towns haunted history. Being the oldest city in America, it has been home to Native Americans, Spanish Conquistadors, The British and real pirates. A local company by the name of Ghosts & Gravestones will take you on a trolley ride around the city while giving you expert narration about many of the restless spirits that haunt St. Augustine.
