On the tip of southwestern Connecticut, Stamford is a sophisticated city on the Long Island Sound, with all the amenities anyone could want. Nicknamed “the city that works”, Stamford is home to several Fortune 500 companies like Charter Communications and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. But it’s not all work and no play. Cove Island is a favorite shoreline park and the place to enjoy beaches, bird-watching, and walks/runs amongst nature. Stamford also has a first-rate entertainment scene with symphony performances and performing arts theaters.
