7) New Zealand
Snow-capped mountain peaks come to mind at the mention of New Zealand. What better place to experience the epic adventure of heli skiing? The great news is that heli skiing isn’t just for super athletes wanting to play James Bond, leaping out of a helicopter from several feet. You don’t need to actually be an expert skier to try it. The view of the Southern Alps from the helicopter alone is worth the cost. Skydiving and bungee jumping are other ways to use heights to get an adrenaline fix. The Nevis Bungy in Queenstown is the highest in the country at 440 feet and an 8.5 second free fall. For a more urban experience, head to Auckland where you can jump from the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Tandem skydiving is available all over the country with mountain views at one end of the country and volcanoes and lakes at the other.
