4) Golden Gate Bridge
Golden Gate Bridge offers more than just a means of transportation. It has an interesting history and several exhibits to inform visitors about its construction and past. There is a welcome center where you can begin your excursion by having an orientation and viewing some exhibits which can teach you a bit about the bridge. You can also look at the original scaled down “test tower” model of the bridge from 1933, as well as pick up souvenirs. Aside from the welcome center, there are outdoor exhibits to explore, including an old bunker. To experience the bridge itself, you can take a walking tour. There are a couple of cafes right nearby, and at either end of the bridge there are several hiking trails with picturesque locations to wander through.
