10) Fisherman’s Wharf
Fisherman’s Wharf is one of the best areas of San Francisco to visit as a tourist. The area can be toured by land, water, or air. There are so many places to visit in the area, such as the Aquarium of the Bay, Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, the National Liberty Ship Memorial, the Sea Lion Center, and the San Francisco Dungeon. As such, you can learn about the history of San Francisco, spend hours looking at animals, or just take in the atmosphere. In terms of dining locations, there is no shortage of variety. There are many seafood restaurants, Asian restaurants, incredible bakeries, and even the original Ghirardelli’s. There are also events throughout the year which take place annually, so you can plan your visit around whichever sound most interesting to you.
