If you mention you’re an active or respected contributor to these websites, you could receive little extras that make your trip more enjoyable. While it’s not guaranteed, hotels may be willing to part with drink vouchers or a small upgrade if a better room becomes available. If they know you’re going to share your experiences with the world later, why wouldn’t they try to make your stay more comfortable? If you’re a popular blogger or have a lot of followers on Instagram, this might make a hotel’s ears perk up. Boasting about their business on a heavily trafficked site can get you free stuff!
