4) Thomas Edison Historical Park
This location is a historic site and a park rolled into one, preserving Thomas Edison’s residence and laboratory: ‘Glenmount’ as the man himself called it. You can see both sides of the man, from the large but homely mansion to the industrial style of his lab where he invented and started experiments. An historic site which is not just historical, but also inspirational, you can see how Edison used to heat his house and the camera he built spanning the size of an entire room. Whether or not you are a fan, you often use his inventions, and this house and laboratory are as close as you can get to seeing how Edison thought and worked. Revolutionary breakthroughs were made here, and you can only get a sense of his genius through this proximity.
