7) Martock, Nova Scotia
Located near Windsor in Nova Scotia, Canada, Ski Martock is the best ski resort in Atlantic Canada. Just a short 45 minute drive from Halifax, Atlantic Canada’s largest city, Martock features a mixture of alpine and cross country ski trails. Many skiers think Nova Scotia can’t match up to the best the likes of British Columbia has to offer but Martock Ski Resort has great facilities suitable for beginner and expert skiers. With 5.5km of cross-country ski trails, a special beginner’s area with tow ropes and a half-pipe and terrain park for snowboarding and free-skiing, Martock is well-equipped to cater to skiing families. Martock hill is the second largest ski hill in Nova Scotia after Ski Wentworth. What’s more, Martock hosted the 2011 Canada Winter Games for cross-country skiing events.
