7) Berkeley
Located in the East Bay, Berkeley is a tremendous place to go if you want to get away for the weekend. You’ll want to take a stroll through the famous University of California campus; and see such renowned sights as the Campanile (Sather) Tower, Sather Gate, and the Free Speech Movement Café. The grounds of the campus are beautiful, featuring secluded streams where you can sit and eat your lunch.
