Number seven on this list of the least stressed out states is Wyoming. One of the leading factors of this low stress is the low population density present in this state. As of 2013 the total population of Wyoming was 582,658 people. This is equivalent to about 6 people per square mile. To contrast this number, in New York there are about 417 people per square mile. The lower number of people in Wyoming allows the residents to have their own space and not be constantly surrounded by others. Less people also could indicate less conflicts and arguments. Wyoming residents are able to separate from others when they need their own time and not feel overwhelmed by crowds or loud noise.
