11 Least Stressed Out States in the US

5) Nebraska

Two factors that may contribute to Nebraska’s low stress level are the low unemployment rate at 5.6% and the low population density. The average population density in this state is about 24 people per square mile. Since both of these factors are low it is impossible to identify a single cause of the lowered stress rate among the people of Nebraska. However, both of these factors are important in a person’s stress levels. People who do not feel that they have job security will often become very stressed and it may start to impact other aspects of their lives such as their relationships with close friends and family.
Low population density may also contribute to a person’s lowered stress. When an area has a lot of people, crowds can form which may cause people to feel tense and uncomfortable. Ultimately, a low population density can eliminate some sources of stress.
