This type of vacation is best suited for those who crave a natural getaway. Maine Huts & Trails offers four “off the grid” eco-lodge “huts” on an 80-mile trail in Kingsfield, ME. Visitors can hike, canoe, kayak, bike, snowshoe or cross-country ski between huts while enjoying the beautiful backwoods of Maine. Prices vary depending on the trip and activities, but deals can certainly be had. One night at a hut (including three meals) on a weekday in low season will run you under $100/person. Prices increase in summer, but remain reasonable at less than $140/night per person. Spring and Fall are “self-service” seasons, meaning there is no meal service available.
