10) Pack Lightweight Fabrics
Lighter fabrics can be layered to make a whole thickness and, more importantly, can be hand washed and dried overnight. They take up much less space in a travel bag, and can be rolled up small. Add to that, a small plastic zipper bag or travel size bag of delicate wash detergent. You can easily freshen your items without paying for laundry services. Another trick, if you don’t have laundry soap, is to use a little shampoo. Just a drop in a sink full of cold water is enough to freshen and clean a lightweight item. Synthetic items tend to be easier to clean, and dry faster than cotton. This goes for socks, shirts, undergarments and many common clothing items.
