10. Seminole Canyon State Park/Pecos High Bridge – Comstock
The final place I would suggest is another hidden gem of Texas, the Seminole Canyon State Park. This park is not just a 2,000+-acre state park but it is also a historic site. Some of the notable historic monuments you need to visit include the rock pictographs in the caves by the rivers and the Pecos High Bridge. The beautiful pictograph art is spans hundreds of feet and instantly takes you back in time thousands of years. The Pecos High Bridge is the highest highway bridge and the most famous in the state. The bridge also known as the Pecos Viaduct was completed in 1892 but was rebuilt during WWII is still functioning today. For those who are afraid of heights you might want to skip driving across and just camp in the park or go for a hike in the lovely park.
