9) James A. Garfield Memorial
Located in the Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio is where the body of President Garfield is on full display. His memorial is a two-story Gothic-Classical style tower. On the outside of his memorial you will learn about the former president’s life on the five terra cotta panels, which also showcase more than 110 life-size figures. Its interiors are as elaborate as the exterior, made of mosaics and stained glass, along with an oversized statue of President Garfield. The caskets of both the President and his wife are on full display at the Lake View Cemetery. In addition to viewing the memorial of President Garfield, visitors will enjoy the park-like surrounds of the cemetery with its picturesque views.
