2) Chateau Miranda – Belgium

The Chateau Miranda was commissioned by French aristocrats who left France after the threat of the guillotine during the French Revolution. Designed by Milner, an English architect, the Chateau was occupied by the Liedekerke-Beaufort family until World War II after which it was turned into an orphanage by the National Railway Company of Belgium. The attendants who watched over the children were reportedly very strict with the children. After the Chateau was abandoned from being an orphanage, a series of disasters struck the property, including a fire and heavy storm. These unfortunate occurrences have caused the roof to collapse, and the family which currently owns the property insists on a demolition, refusing any requests made by others to buy or bring the former beauty back to life.
