4) Travel Off-Peak
When a senior is willing to visit a destination during their off-peak or their shoulder season, for example, the fall or winter for Europe instead of the summer, there are a number of benefits offered. One of the biggest is a smaller price tag. Seniors are the ideal traveler for this time of year since they don’t have to worry about planning their vacation around the holiday, school or work. However, there are a few things to keep in mind if traveling off-peak. Be sure to pack for the weather and check the operating hours for attractions and museums. There are some locations that may not be open outside of tourist season. Traveling off season has a number of other appealing factors, as well, such as smaller crowds and shorter wait times, which can make this even more appealing to some senior travelers. Be sure to consider this when making travel plans.
