The White House
It’s the house of the most powerful man in the world. Every U.S. President has lived in the White House since 1800. It’s the oldest public building in the capital that serves as a museum for the public. To get a tour around the White House, you must reserve your tickets in advance. You will be assigned a date and time. During the tour, you will get a peek inside the President’s iconic home. The inside is decorated with historic paintings, sculptures and exquisite furniture. There are 132 rooms and 6 floors in the house. While you’re here, you can stop at the White House Historical Association shop and view a great collection of artifacts and watch a 14 minute video about the White House. Visitors with hearing or visual disabilities are provided special equipment to assist them on the tour.
