4) Unclaimed Baggage Center – Scottsboro, Alabama
Ever wonder where all those unclaimed travel bags end up? Scottsboro, Alabama is home to the “land of lost luggage” where “you never know what you’ll find.” Spanning more than a city block in length, this center greets around one-million visitors per year. It’s the only lost luggage store in America. Virtually anything that was ever packed in a suitcase and unclaimed by its owner can be found here.  Clothing, jewelry, electronics and even the bags are up for sale. Since their doors opened in 1970, the Unclaimed Baggage Center has grown to be one of Alabama’s top tourist attractions. Arranged by departments, this 40,000 square-foot store is sure to have something for everyone. Etc. is next to the main store where bargains fill three additional floors. There’s also a 4,000-square foot children’s department and Roll-outs where new bargains arrive hourly.
