11) Houston

Houston has the largest population in the state and is one of the most diverse Texas cities. The Houston Museum District has enough to keep visitors busy for days, including the Museum of Natural Science, Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, the Holocaust Museum, the Rothko Chapel, various art museums, and the zoo. The Theater District also has several venues with music, plays, and dance. Of course, no visit to Houston is complete without a trip to the Space Center to see the moon rocks and shuttle simulator. Hundreds of parks are scattered around the city. It also has many interesting neighborhoods with varied culinary choices, like Chinatown and the Mahatma Gandhi District. Additional kid-friendly attractions include the aquarium and the Wet ā€˜n’ Wild Splash Town water park. Houston is also a great place for sports fanatics with six major league teams in football, baseball, soccer, basketball, and softball.
