The lovely Fort Yargo State Park in Georgia is home to a 260-acre lake where you can swim, fish, or go boating. The park also has 20.5 miles of easy, moderate, and difficult hiking trails. If you’d like to camp at this peaceful park, you can choose between a few different accommodation options. The park offers “glamping” in lakeside yurts. Or, you can rent a fully-equipped cottage or an adventure cabin. You can also bring your own tent with you. If you’re new to camping, check out the park’s First Time Camper Program. Through this program, you’ll get to borrow camping gear, including a tent, sleeping pad, and a camp stove. You’ll also get expert advice from a park ranger.
