11) Voyageurs National Park, Minnesota
The beautiful Voyageurs National Park is Minnesota’s only national park. It’s located in Northern Minnesota on the US/Canada border. The park is known for its four large lakes: Rainy Lake, Kabetogama Lake, Namakan Lake, and Sand Point Lake. You can spend your days kayaking, boating, fishing, or swimming through these lakes. You can also take a guided boat tour where you’ll get to learn more about the natural sites in the park. The campgrounds within Voyageurs National Park are only accessible by boat. If you are car camping, there are many great public campgrounds located right outside Voyageurs National Park. Many of these rustic campgrounds have boat ramps available and hiking trails. Pitch your tent in one of these campgrounds, and then spend your campsite vacation relaxing on the water.
