10) Goderich, Ontario
If it’s good enough for the Queen of England, it should be good enough for everyone else! Rumor has it that Her Majesty declared Goderich the prettiest town in Canada. It’s easy to understand why when you set your sights on the award-winning flower gardens or learn that 25% of Goderich has been dedicated to parklands. Its location isn’t bad either. Set on the bluffs overlooking Lake Huron, Goderich offers hiking and walking trails that terminate with gorgeous views of the water. The octagon-shaped city center, known as Courthouse Square, is the vibrant heart of this attractive town. Here you’ll find markets, outdoor concerts and festivals, and a large variety of cafes, restaurants, and specialty shops. Goderich has three beaches, all of which have free access and facilities. End your day with a stroll on the 1.5-mile boardwalk and catch the sunset over the water.
