4) Dallas
Just 30-minutes west of Fort Worth is Dallas. This city can be a great place for a family vacation as well as an adults-only holiday. It all depends on what you’re after, and in Dallas, you can have it all. The electrifying nightlife and abundance of bars makes it easy to have a big night out. The West Village dining and shopping district offers a compact section of town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and a vibrant atmosphere. The city’s biggest historical claim to fame is Dealey Plaza, the site of the shocking assassination of JFK. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is in the exact location the shots were fired from, (formerly, the Texas School Book Depository building) honoring the life and death of the famous President.
